Privacy at well for me

Short version: your email is never shown, anonymous reviews stay anonymous, and we never sell your data. The details are below, in plain language.

Who we are

well for me is a community where people share honest, unfiltered reviews of the treatments, aesthetics, supplements, and therapies they actually try. Reviews are personal experiences, not medical advice. Speak to a qualified professional before trying anything new.

What we collect

How reviews and photos work

You choose who sees each review: just you, people who follow each other, or the whole community, with or without your name. If you post anonymously, we deliberately separate your identity from the review, so it cannot be traced back to you through the community feed. Photos you attach follow the same visibility as the review or listing they belong to.

Why we use your data

To run your account and show your reviews (the agreement we have with you), to keep the community safe and the site running (our legitimate interests), and to send waitlist updates or other optional emails (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by contacting us).

What we never do

Who helps us run well for me

We use a small number of trusted providers for hosting, our database, email sign-in, and photo storage. They process data only on our instructions and under their own strict security and privacy commitments. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to anyone, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as defined by US state privacy laws.

Cookies

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and the site working. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we ever add audience analytics, we will update this page and, where the law requires, ask first.

How long we keep things

We keep your account and reviews while your account is open. If you delete your account, we remove your profile, reviews, and photos. Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them.

Sensitive details and consent

Details like skin tone, concerns, and what you use a treatment for can reveal things about your health. We only collect them if you give your explicit consent when you set up your profile, and they are always optional. You can remove them or withdraw consent at any time by editing your profile or deleting your account.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time using the Delete my account button on your profile. This permanently removes your profile, reviews, photos, follows, and sign-in details straight away.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or take a copy with you, and you can object to or restrict how we use it. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you also have the right to withdraw consent and to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are a resident of a US state with its own privacy law, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or Utah, you have the right to know, access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, to opt out of any sale or sharing (we do neither), and you will not be discriminated against for using these rights. To use any right, contact us and we will respond within the timeframe the law requires.

Younger members

well for me is for adults only. You must be 18 or over to join, because the community covers cosmetic and clinical treatments. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it. If you believe someone under 18 is using well for me, please contact us.

Where data lives

Our servers and providers may be located outside your country, including the United States. When data crosses borders we rely on recognised safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, to protect it.

Changes to this policy

If this page changes in an important way, we will say so on the site before the change takes effect.
